Vacancy Pastor

Joel David Kotila was born to Rev. Herman and Sylvia Kotila on December 6, 1957 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He is the fifth of eight children. He received his B.A. at  Concordia College, St. Paul and attended seminary at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne.

After 30 years of serving the Lord in various places, (primarily on the East Coast) Pastor Kotila retired to Jackson, WI. He has been happily married for 39 years to his wife Kari, and together they have four grown children and seven grandchildren.

Pastor Kotila feels Blessed for the opportunity to serve Divine Savior during our vacancy and would like to return the feeling by being a Blessing to us all.

Chrissy Daniels

Administrative Assistant

Chrissy has over 20 years of administrative experience and finds tremendous joy in helping to better the lives of those around her. She has been part of Divine Savior since 2022, when she transplanted to Hartford from her hometown of Port Washington. In her spare time she enjoys being a soccer mom, gardening and riding her motorcycle.

Music Director

Amelia graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with a degree in K-12 Choral Education, General Music, and a minor in Theater Education.

She’s married to Rocky Scheit and is mom to twin sons, Hudson and Ezekiel, and newborn son, Wesley; and three step-children: Kayli, Aiden, and Andrew.

Amelia also teaches private piano and voice lessons at her home studio in Slinger. In her spare time, she loves reading, hiking, and performing in musicals in the area.

Business Manager

Sheila has been a member of Divine Savior since 1986 and has served as a part-time Business Manager since 2015.

Sheila and her husband, Cal, play in the handbell choir and are members of the Praise Team for contemporary services. They have one adult daughter and twin granddaughters. Sheila enjoys being a grandma and loves participating in outdoor activities such as bicycling, canoeing/kayaking, hiking, and camping. She also enjoys quilting and baking in her spare time.
